About You and the Role

As a DevOps Cloud Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing the DevOps/SDLC environments of your team(s) and customers, ensuring the availability and reliability of production setups. You’ll work closely with teams from the very beginning of projects, designing and implementing custom DevOps solutions. Your role involves supporting development teams, establishing Continuous Integration & Delivery pipelines, and positively contributing to our engineering culture.

Your Mission: Your mission is to create solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and secure, ensuring they are production-ready and robust. You will play a key role in advancing our engineering culture, guiding and mentoring development teams in the correct application of DevOps principles.

Key Characteristics: You are personable with strong communication skills and have a proven ability to effectively coach and guide development teams. With experience as a Software Engineer or System Administrator, you confidently make decisions and skillfully navigate various communication styles to align teams and clients. Your proactive nature, combined with your ability to work independently, enables you to drive change and implement improvements seamlessly within the organization.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage DevOps/SDLC environments, ensuring the reliability and availability of production setups for both internal teams and external clients.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement DevOps solutions tailored to project needs, expanding our existing knowledge base.

  • Beyond technical implementation, you’ll play a crucial role in fostering a positive engineering culture by coaching and guiding development teams in the application of DevOps principles.

  • Focus on scalability, maintainability, and security by automating processes, setting up Continuous Integration & Delivery pipelines, and delivering technical documentation to streamline operations and drive efficiency.

What You Bring
  • Extensive experience in developing and managing modern environments (Azure/GCP) for software organizations, with a strong emphasis on site reliability engineering.

  • Proficiency in setting up and managing cloud-native environments using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

  • Demonstrated expertise in setting up and managing Continuous Integration & Delivery pipelines, including implementing monitoring/observability solutions and providing comprehensive technical documentation.

  • A background as a Software Engineer or System Administrator, providing a solid foundation in understanding software development processes and requirements, as well as building and maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure with code.

  • Advanced skills in automating various processes within the DevOps discipline, utilizing scripting languages such as Python/Bash.

  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience working with Docker containers and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with security best practices and experience implementing security measures within DevOps environments.
